Two hands-on workshops on the invisible gesture, where the various performing arts come together—theater, dance, acrobatics, and music.
In collaboration with LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, as part of the LAC edu program, and under the general direction of the course: Maria Bonzanigo—with artists and instructors from the Company
The goal of this edition is to reflect on what constitutes a performance.
The creation of a choreography or a piece inherently involves the concept of “writing”—that is, a series of elements chosen with care and deliberation, thought through and rethought, rehearsed and rehearsed again, only to be truly performed. Writing requires a long period of time to craft a brief moment that can be repeated, reenacted, and reinterpreted.
The act of improvisation is, by its very nature, the opposite: an act that begins and ends, one that cannot be repeated.
Between these two opposites lies a tension that will serve as the main focus of reflection in this course, through feeling, observing, developing, and shaping.
