The book Teatro de la Caricia, written by Facundo Ponce de León and Daniele Finzi Pasca, is finally available as an ebook!
We have worked hard to convert the latest edition of the Spanish text from 2015 (now out of print in paperback) as faithfully as possible, and it is now available in digital format on the Kobo platform:
Synopsis: The texts are the result of a series of conversations with Daniele Finzi Pasca, held in Magadino during the summer of 2007. They stem from an idea by Julie Hamelin, who brought us together in the spirit of shared dreams. I have tried to preserve the spirit of those encounters, of questions and answers that return again and again to the same issues, to peek into the ‘kitchen’ of a creator who, whether as a writer, director, actor or choreographer, is the guardian of mystery—not to hide it, but to reveal it.
That life and art are supported by invisible structures is one of the pillars of Daniele’s research. This is what we discuss: the ritual element that has accompanied us since the dawn of history, theatre and the circus, the clown, the actor and the acrobat, the great complexity required to create something simple, identity, the journey and daily struggles. — Facundo Ponce de León
