| To mark the 35th anniversary of ICARO, Daniele Finzi Pasca’s iconic work, a new international tour has kicked off. The first stop took place at the Teatro Solís in Montevideo (Uruguay), where Icaro has returned many times over the years, always greeted with the unique warmth and affection of its audience. With the first leg of the tour concluded with great success, Icaro is now preparing to embark on a new international adventure with its official debut in Spain. The tour will kick off in Bilbao, then continue to La Coruña and Barcelona, before concluding with two consecutive performances at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid.Following the Spanish tour, Icaro will continue its journey overseas, arriving in Mexico City from May 14 to 17. Here, last year, the show achieved impressive numbers: 6,680 attendees, three cities involved, nine performances—three of which were sold out—and three meet-and-greets with the audience, confirming an extraordinary reception. The show, written and performed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, is an intimate, poetic, and deeply human work that speaks of fragility and hope. Bilbao Coruña Barcelona Madrid Mexico City “On stage, Daniele Finzi Pasca is a mad visionary who embodies art and theater, who wants to teach us to fly, to dream, to lift ourselves out of our daily routine, out of our lives, and to take flight, to escape toward freedom, our desires, happiness, change, in a room with no doors or windows (each our own) that prevents us from leaving, because ‘flying is easy; it’s escaping that’s hard.’ But the flight, the dream, has begun, and perhaps a door is opening.” – Milano Teatri (2024) |
