Corteo, the Cirque du Soleil show written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, will inaugurate its tour at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London on January 15, 2025, with a unique staging.
This marks the second time a show by Daniele Finzi Pasca – the only director from Ticino to achieve such recognition – produced by Cirque du Soleil will be presented on the iconic circular stage. Following the success of Luzia, which set an attendance record during its nearly two-month run in the British capital in 2022, Corteo now takes center stage.
Inaugurated in 1871 and considered one of the most prestigious venues in the world, the Royal Albert Hall, with a capacity of 5,272 seats, has hosted a wide variety of events, from the BAFTA Awards to concerts by legendary artists such as The Beatles, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and many more.
Since its creation in 2005, Corteo has become one of Cirque du Soleil’s most beloved productions, with over 10 million spectators across 22 countries on four continents. The show’s musical composition and direction are by Maria Bonzanigo (alongside Philippe Leduc and Jean-François Côté), acting coaching by Hugo Gargiulo and Antonio Vergamini, and assistant direction by Marco Finzi—all members of the Finzi Pasca Company.
“It takes so little to become children again for a few hours, with eyes full of wonder.”
