40 YEARS OF TRAVELLING is a visual anthology celebrating the 40th anniversary of Compagnia Finzi Pasca.

The volume offers a retrospective of the extraordinary adventure that has left an incisive mark on the world of contemporary theatre.

A collection of images that record, commit to memory and narrate the style and aesthetics of a theatre company that started out in a district of Lugano and then travelled with its productions all over the world.

The diversity of perspectives of 24 international photographers is harmonised by an unusual and poetic editing – curated by Viviana Cangialosi – whose narrative thread proceeds in a non-linear form.

The invaluable material selected from the paper archives, much of it previously unpublished, complements the themed sections, providing additional content and enabling a reflection on the origins that enriches the depth of the visual narrative, with a highly contemporary outlook and one always looking towards the future.
