Compagnia Finzi Pasca and Teatro Sociale de Bellinzona present: Bianco su Bianco<\/strong><\/p>\n

A new show written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca<\/strong><\/p>\n

After co-producing concerts by Maria Bonzanigo in 2012 and 2013, Compagnia\u00a0Finzi Pasca and\u00a0Teatro Sociale Bellinzona<\/span><\/a>\u00a0present their latest collaboration,\u00a0Bianco su Bianco<\/i>. This new production premieres September 30 at Teatro Sociale in Bellinzona, and will run until October 4.<\/p>\n

Tickets are now on pre-sale at the Bellinzona Turismo office (Palazzo Municipale, tel.: 091 825 48 18), at all Ticketcorner outlets and at\u00a0www.ticketcorner.ch<\/span><\/a>. Tickets bought through Bellinzona Turismo will receive a 10% discount (this discount cannot be combined with any other offers).<\/p>\n

Rehearsals for\u00a0Bianco su Bianco<\/i>\u00a0will take place in Lugano in August, as well as in Bellinzona in September. The cast will hold open rehearsals in both cities, allowing the public a rare peek into the creative process. Further details on this will come later.<\/p>\n

The show is co-produced by Compagnia\u00a0Finzi Pasca and with\u00a0Teatro Sociale Bellinzona – Bellinzona Teatro<\/span><\/a>\u00a0acting as first co-producer, as well as:\u00a0Maison de la Culture de Nevers et de la\u00a0Ni\u00e8vre<\/span><\/a>\u00a0, \u00a0l\u2019Odyss\u00e9e \u2013 Sc\u00e8ne conventionn\u00e9e de P\u00e9rigueux.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0The author and director is Daniele Finzi Pasca, with Julie Hamelin Finzi, Maria Bonzanigo, Hugo Gargiulo and Antonio Vergamini completing the creative team.<\/p>\n

Bianco su Bianco<\/i>\u00a0stars Helena Bittencourt and Goos Meeuwsen, a pair of actors, acrobats and clowns with a flair for fleshing out characters who display humanity, ingenuity, some philosophy, a touch of decadent elegance, and that are both comical and surreal. Moving about the stage in a deft and weightless manner, they use minute elements to build tragicomic situations.<\/p>\n

Despite its more simple and minimalist approach to scenic aesthetics, this production brings back the world of Compagnia\u00a0Finzi Pasca, a surreal, fiercely serene world, replete with stories that stand on the fine line between the sweetness and nostalgia of the absurd. This is self-reflexive theatre, where actors use the stage to communicate with the audience. Where the tricks and illusions are always revealed in the end. Where one laughs and cries. Where the clowns don\u2019t play stupid, but rather show all the frailty of losing heroes.<\/p>\n

The show will be filled with little hallucinations, that are a way of bringing forth the Red and the Black hidden beneath the clown\u2019s White imagination. Memories, the reminiscence of a neighbourhood, the certainty of a child\u2019s mind, are here contrasted with the uncertainty of memories. Thousands of petals fall from above, millions of petals cover the prairie. The wounds give way to the smiles, in turn giving way to liberating laughter just before nostalgia sets in.<\/p>\n

Bianco su Bianco<\/i>\u00a0also marks the first collaboration between Compagnia Finzi Pasca and Caff\u00e8 Chicco d\u2019Oro, main sponsor of the show and sponsor of the Company.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
