Together with Melissa, I will try to delicately tell a story that tragically keeps repeating itself everywhere with relentless violence.” \u2014 Daniele Finzi Pasca.\u00a0PRIMA FACIE is a play by Australian playwright Suzie Miller that tells the story of Tessa, a successful lawyer who, after defending men accused of sexual violence, becomes a victim herself.<\/strong> This experience leads her to a profound reflection on the concepts of guilt and justice within a legal system that often proves contradictory.<\/p>\n

The play premiered in Sydney in 2019. In April 2022, it was staged in London, winning two Laurence Olivier Award\u00a0<\/strong>for Best New Play and Best Actress, before making its debut on Broadway.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Translated into 20 languages and performed in 34 countries,\u00a0<\/strong>has become a global phenomenon.<\/p>\n
