DESCRIPTION:“When the Cirque du Soleil approaches creators it asks them to venture into new scenographic and narrative territories. (…) We started from stereotypes… in order to overturn them. Ubiquitous slowness? We replaced it with speed – that of the Tarahumara\, a Mexican people who live in the mountains and can run up to 200 kilometres non-stop\, barefoot or wearing light sandals. Speed thus becomes an interesting element in circus language too\, with its quest for extreme performance\, thanks to magnificent acrobats and gymnasts drawn from around the world. DESCRIPTION:“I dedicated this dream to the angels\, who come and visit me at night. To the world of clowns\, to which I belong\, to the Cathedral of Chartres\, which after my mother’s womb\, is the second place where I was nurtured. To the pictures that my parents stole to reality\, and which I put into movement\, to the circuses and to their artists. \nWhat I meant to bring forth under the big top is theatre and its peculiar perspective made of overlapping images. I thus asked the acrobats to think as actors would\, and to be beautiful and honest\, just as beautiful love stories are. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by brilliant creators\, with whom I immersed in a common world and a bonding adventure\, receiving the full support of a production crew who allowed us to carry on with our dream. I also kept close to the friends from my troupe\, Teatro Sunil\, with whom I have been seeking beauty and honesty on stage for more than twenty years. \nTo make one’s own funeral does feel good. DESCRIPTION:Einstein on the Beach\, un opéra de Philip Glass et Robert Wilson dans une mise en scène de Daniele Finzi Pasca à découvrir au Grand Théâtre de Genève du 11 au 18 septembre 2019. \nEinstein on the Beach\, c’est comment faire une pièce sur la théorie de la relativité sans être physicien. Le flux de la musique est ici la base pour une méditation sur le temps\, sur les lieux\, les espaces et les événements. L’opéra a été composé par Philip Glass dans les années 1974-76. Einstein on the Beach ne fut dotée d’aucune narration\, d’aucune intrigue et n’obéit à aucune intention biographique. \nLe metteur en scène Daniele Finzi Pasca\, habitué des cérémonies aux dimensions gigantesques\, nous arrive directement de la Fête des Vignerons pour se plonger dans l’univers infini de l’œuvre. Dans leur langage poétique\, avec des artifices techniques d’avant-garde\, Finzi Pasca et sa troupe nous emmènent dans un monde où le temps est déconstruit en moments\, où les images et les reflets s’inversent\, et découvrent à la fin le sens de la vie ou son absence de sens. \nLa Compagnia Finzi Pasca sera accompagnée par le jeune chef suisse Titus Engel\, spécialiste du répertoire des XXe et XXIe siècles et des étudiants de la Haute école de musique de Genève. Quand le spectacle rencontre la science\, il y en aura\, des étincelles!
